Ryan grew up in Wichita, Kansas where he attended undergraduate school and worked for over ten years in in-house marketing, advertising, and graphic design for a variety of manufacturing and technological companies. Ryan attended law school then clerked for Judge G. Gordon Atcheson of the Kansas Court of Appeals prior to coming to Case Linden.

Ryan now lives in Brookside with his wife, who is a user experience designer, and their Great Dane. Ryan is President of the Morningside Neighborhood Association and is involved in area civic planning committees. Ryan and his wife enjoy camping, going to concerts, and discovering new restaurants in and around Kansas City.
