Practice Areas

  • Employment Law
  • Construction Defects
  • Personal Injury
  • Litigation

Trevor is a civil litigation attorney and shareholder with Case Linden. Trevor regularly defends employers in the state and federal courts in Kansas and Missouri in employment discrimination lawsuits and administrative proceedings, including those brought under Title VII, the Equal Pay Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Missouri Human Rights Act, and the Kansas Act Against Discrimination. Trevor enjoys staying up-to-date with the constant changes in the employment discrimination laws, and particularly enjoys communicating how these changes will or could affect his clients. On behalf of his clients, Trevor has obtained complete summary judgment in state and federal courts in Kansas and Missouri and has secured other favorable results for clients in these cases.

Trevor also regularly represents contractors in complex lawsuits alleging construction defects, including those where the true cause of structural issues is subject to substantial disagreement. In these cases, Trevor enjoys working with his clients to understand their scope of work and expertise at a granular and technical level, and also enjoys working with other subject matter experts to provide his clients with the best possible defense.

Trevor represents clients in other areas of law, as well, including those brought under state consumer protection statutes, those alleging professional negligence, and those alleging substantial personal injury. In all of these cases, Trevor's passion is in developing a close relationship with his clients, understanding his clients' goals, and thinking creatively to push for a result that benefits the client from both a strategic and a financial perspective.

Before coming to Case Linden, Trevor spent two years as a term law clerk in the Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Missouri, with Judge Cynthia Norton. While there, Trevor spent significant time honing his research and writing skills, and witnessed firsthand the importance of clear and effective advocacy. Trevor also observed many mediations conducted through the Western District of Missouri's Mediation and Assessment Program ("MAP"), which provided valuable perspective that he still frequently uses in mediations to this day. Trevor also attended KCMBA's Ross T. Roberts trial academy, a months-long trial skills program, to further enhance his trial-related skills.

Trevor lives in Leawood with his wife, Courtney, and their two daughters.
