Associate Attorney

Case Linden P.C. seeks an experienced litigation attorney with at least five years of experience who is prepared to assume meaningful responsibility for a varied caseload. Licensure in both Kansas and Missouri is strongly preferred.

The Practice

Our firm maintains a broad litigation and trial practice involving consumer claims, products liability, class actions, civil rights, and employment matters. We represent a diverse group of clients, including businesses, governmental entities, and insurers.

What We Are Seeking

  • Experience independently managing civil litigation matters from inception through trial.
  • Strong legal writing, analytical, advocacy, and communication skills.
  • The judgment and initiative to manage deadlines, strategy, discovery, motion practice, and client communications.
  • Significant client-facing experience; deposition and trial experience are preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a technology-enabled, virtual environment.

Work Arrangement and Virtual Transition

The firm is transitioning to a fully virtual operating model by October 2027. During the transition period, this position may be performed in the office, on a hybrid schedule, or remotely, subject to coordination with the firm. A new attorney may elect to work remotely from the outset after completing initial in-person onboarding.

After the transition, this will be a fully remote position. Regardless of the regular work arrangement, the attorney must remain available for periodic required in-person meetings and for court appearances, depositions, trials, client needs, or other professional obligations. The successful candidate must maintain an appropriate, secure remote workspace and reliable internet access. Any remote work location must be approved by the firm and compatible with applicable licensing, tax, and client-service requirements.

Paralegal

Kansas City Area | Flexible Now | Fully Remote by October 2027

Case Linden P.C., a Kansas City-based civil litigation law firm, seeks a litigation paralegal with at least five years of civil litigation experience. This is a billable position supporting attorneys across active matters from discovery through trial.

Core Responsibilities

  • Assist with propounding and responding to written discovery.
  • Conduct factual investigations and witness interviews.
  • Support deposition, hearing, and trial preparation and provide assistance at trial as needed.
  • Maintain rigorous case docketing and deadline management across multiple matters.
  • Use project workflow systems and case-management protocols to track and prioritize competing deadlines in a fast-paced litigation environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong written, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Experience with docketing software and case-management tools strongly preferred.
  • Exposure to electronic discovery and document-review tools is helpful.
  • Ability to work independently, communicate proactively, protect confidential information, and collaborate effectively in a technology-enabled, virtual environment.
